submitted for your perusal..from Helen Howes....she called them Baby Bamboozles....
OH! I *love* those! Thanks for showing them to me.
I'll deconstruct them and see if they are practicable in the size hexies that I'm using.
Certainly not relevant to any discussion, I just think Baby Bamboozles is a cheery name!

Above my pay grade!
You are incorrigible. From that Instagram link, I found the Bamboozled website, based in England. Oh, the fantastic 3D hexagon blocks! The lady who offers this BOM is a one-up entrepreneur, someone I like to support.
So, after a minimal amount of hemming and hawing, I have now subscribed to the year long BOM of 3D blocks. The "baby bamboozled" blocks measure 4"x4.5", which is smaller than my own Hollow Cubes, but I'll just scale them up.
Originally, I was thinking of having my entire Forever Project of just the Hollow Cubes. But then, as I began to see the quilts that other people have made where they have put some plain blocks between the 3D blocks and even mixed up the 3D blocks, the more I started to think that mixing it up would be more visually interesting than an entire quilt of the same optical illusion block.
These Bamboozled blocks have come at just the right time! I think I ought to thank you ... but I'm not entirely certain. :-) However, the die is cast and I sure do hope that this optical illusion quilt will turn out nicely.
