I made more cubes. I am now up to 4 so more than halfway done with the 7 I have planned. I already have the fabrics pulled for the last 3. Not the most perfect colors but it is what I have here and it will work so that is what I'm doing. For me this will be a quick project and I am pleased that I was able to do it all by machine, not perfect but close enough to look nice.

Your cubes look great! I see good definition between the three shades. After I frame the triangles I have to have the photo right in front of me to get them set right. I know what you mean about making a mess. I tried to avoid it too, but still ended up with a big mess.

Ok....................I can now get back to sewing up my pants because I finished my hexi cubes this morning. Yup I started sewing around 7am and finished the last 3 of the 7 cubes I planned..............LOVE THEM!!!!!!! These are not the best fabrics but the color really speaks and I know once I get back to my entire collection of stash I will play with this theme of rainbow hexis again. https://enchantingquilts.blogspot.com I do need to put them on a background and quilt them. I laid them out on the deck which is grey and even though I had originally planned to put them on black I think I like the grey and now need to find some fabric for that.............wish I had grey grunge but I do know I have grey Kona cotton so might go with that. I may hand applique them to the background as I think the seams from setting them into the background might detract from the setting. Figure a little handwork might me nice in the evenings and because it is straight lines should not take that long. What do you guys think?

Ami, your wall hanging will brighten any spot where you hang it. May have to try these cubes once I finish my snowflakes.

If you hadn't said you had put them on your deck, I would have thought it was gray fabric. I *do* like that color as a background. Love the different sized hexies you put into one project and that gives me some ideas for mine. (Although, I am strictly at the creating the cubes stage.) I also liked Lynne's haphazard arrangement that made the cubes look as though they were tumbling. So much potential!
