I think I need to modify this quilting   General Discussion

Started Sep-21 by Dee in TX (DBRADFOR3); 488 views.

I had to quilt around some rhinstones on a t-shirt.  As I was finishing the binding I noticed a possible problem on the back.    I think I need to re-do this section.  It kind of "sticks out".  grin

I think you are overthinking this possibly risque design on the back, Dee.

Do not point it out to the giftee and she will never notice it.

I wouldn't redo it.  I doubt it would be noticed by a non-quilter and a quilter would quickly realize the why.

Ok I usually agree when you want to redo something but I think it is fine.

Here's something to calm your fevered brain, some numbers to play with.

What are the total square inches in the quilt?  Put that number in this space.  ______

What are the total square inches in your perceived "erroneous" area?  Put that number in this space.  _____

What is the ratio of "erroneous" to total quilt?

(I hope that helps fix your overthinking issue.)  stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

That's funny!  I never thought a thing of it and wondered what the problem was until Judy pointed it out.

In reply toRe: msg 8

this took about 10 minutes - I'm getting pretty good at loading a finished quilt - and fortunatley this was not near the edge.  I know she probably would not have noticed, but once I did, it bothered me.  If it had a been a quilt for another individual who would have appreciated the humor (I can think of a handful here smile) I would have left it, but I don't think this person would have thought it funny.  I am  happier now.
