20th Annual
VALLEY OF THE SUN
ARIZONA RETREAT
February 24 - February 27, 2022

The retreat dates are Thursday, February 24th, at 7:00 pm - through Sunday, February 27, 2022.  The retreat will be held at the Hampton Inn Phoenix-Airport North.  They are giving us a group rate of  $149.00 a night.  This price is still lower than most hotels of equal quality during Phoenix's February high tourist season.

We are figuring the hotel rate for 3 nights since most will want to arrive on Thursday, February 24th.  The rate for two double beds or one king bed is $167.73 (including tax) x 3 nights = $503.19, total for one person.  For two people it would be $251.60, per person for 3 nights.  Each room has a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.  Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 12 noon.  You are on your own to make your hotel reservation and if you share a room with someone, be sure that only one of you reserves the room.

Click HERE to see the hotel website.  The hotel will provide a special link just for us to make our reservation and our group of rooms will all be together.  Please do not attempt to make your reservation prior to the link being given out.  The hotel also provides free, Lyft transportation to the hotel from the airport.  The cost to attend the retreat is $175.00 (this is in addition to your hotel costs.) The retreat fee is needed to cover the cost of renting the meeting room from Thursday noon through Sunday, dinners, refreshments/snacks, and a few amenities. 

Breakfast, included in your room rate.
Lunch, on your own. You have the option of going out to lunch or preparing something in your room.  We can carpool to restaurants around the area or take orders for having fast food brought in.  DoorDash, GrubHub, UberEats, etc. will deliver to the hotel, we will have a list and you can order delivery.
Dinner, included in your retreat fee (the reason for the change is the hotel is surrounded by other hotels and it is spring break so all the restaurants will be very crowded in the evenings.)

We ask that you pay a deposit of $50 at the time of registration with the balance being due by Friday, January 28, 2022.  Registration will be based on the earliest postmarked envelope received (not first received).  Important: No envelopes postmarked before Monday, November 1, 2021.  If you must cancel before January 28, 2022, your deposit will be 90% refundable.

Criteria for attendance 
1.  Priority based on postmark date of registration and deposit.
2.  People who are active in our quilting forum.
3.  Personal interaction and compatibility with the group. 
4.  Hostesses have the right of refusal.

I'm sure people will wonder what our COVID rules are.  We have no rules, do whatever makes you feel safe.  Of course, we will have to follow the rules for Arizona whatever they are in February.

If you feel safer with a mask, wear one,

If don't want to wear a mask, don't

If you are vaccinated great, if not that's okay too.

Like I said no rules except what you want to do to feel safe.

It must be a great feeling to know you are finally at the end of the treatments. What a journey you have been on! Can't wait to see you at the retreat.........it has been quite the year for sure.
