To each her own, of course, but here's a miniature quilt with 11,925 pieces that made my heart go pitty-pat:

This guy spoke at our guild last fall.  Mentioned he had entered this at Houston - I was surprised I don't think it won anything.  But it did at Road 2 Ca. 

And this lady used to be active at About.com.  She asked me to photograph one of her quilts in Dallas several years ago when she had won there.  Her machine quilting is amazing, I've seen other quilts of hers at Houston.  Fun to recognize a name. 

oh yeah.. David Taylor...his quilts are spectacular! I took a class from him and made his hummingbird pattern. Very intense!

I recognized her name too!  What a labor intensive quilt! But its spectacular...
