It's a great block. I have trouble seeing the flying geese. Maybe some of the seams don't show in the picture?

if you rotate it 45 degrees, it's inside the red square I drew.
I liked the way the star looked when it was rotated, more "pointy"

Thanks Ami, nice to hear from you.. My sister was just here for 9 days, we had a good time visiting. We are slowly cleaning out my dmil’s storage unit, which is difficult ( lots of photo’s & memories) and my sister helped us with that one of the days. It was a big help and we also did a little bit of hand sewing and had a gabfest. :)

I thought 2" too, lol. Second thought was why? Only Dee would make a quilt with 2" squares. I loved the podcast, Dee.

Oh how fun. It wasn’t as warm for her as usual though. I’m getting some hand work ready so I can see when (when) if I have free moment or two

Well, I am making some tiny Christmas ornaments for my sewing room tree, one is a log cabin block where each log is 1/8" wide. Whee.
glad you enjoyed the podcast. My daughter said she and her best friend listened to part of it, then decided part way through they had already heard all my stories. I guess I'm officially my grandfather now, recycling the same stories. Did you catch my reference to the AZ group? You guys are a big big part of my quilting life.

Nah. Those listening to the podcast haven't heard those stories before!
