Oh how fun. It wasn’t as warm for her as usual though. I’m getting some hand work ready so I can see when (when) if I have free moment or two

Dee would make a quilt with 2" squares

Well, I am making some tiny Christmas ornaments for my sewing room tree, one is a log cabin block where each log is 1/8" wide.  Whee.

glad you enjoyed the podcast.  My daughter said she and her best friend listened to part of it, then decided part way through they had already heard all my stories.  I guess I'm officially my grandfather now, recycling the same stories.  Did you catch my reference to the AZ group?  You guys are a big big part of my quilting life.

Nah.  Those listening to the podcast haven't heard those stories before!

I recognized the friend that sold you your first quilting machine, the friend that you first sent a quilt to, and many others, lol. I loved your blue Jays and thread thief.

Cathy, here goes.  I actually talked to her on the phone one day this weekend, and she informed me that I need to let everybody know I'm in Abilene, Texas now.  I took a spill in October at the laundromat.  I guess I slipped in liquid soap or fabric softner I didnt see on the floor.  Fell backward and hit my head on the floor hard enough to make it bleed.  You know how scalp wounds are, so I must have been bleeding more than the people thought I should have.  They called 911, I went to the emergency room in the ambulance, and they volunteered to take care of my clothes that were in the washers.  Best news, I didn't have any broken bones, but probably did have a concussion.  I'm still having some after affectes from that.  Anytime I go from horizontal to vertical, or vertical to horizontal, I get dizzy for a few seconds.  That is all I've noticed, though.  However, when my son found out, he called me and told me they would be out right after Thanksgiving when he was able to get some vacation, and I was going back home with them.  They got me a 27ft camper trailer so they and I could have privacy, which is really nice.  There is such a rental shortage here that lots of  people live in campers near their workplace, then go home on weekends.  Now, all this info is mainly to let you girls know, I just realized I need a roommate for the retreat.  I'm so used to Sharon reserving the room, and me just paying my part of it, that it went somewhere and I didn't have the first idea that I no longer had my roommate.  Anybody?

OK, so I'm working on my Lotto blocks.  I cut a number of pieces so that I could make several blocks.  Started the piecing and the pieces weren't matching....so I made more.  Still not working out.  The directions were clearly wrong because I re-read them several times and the pieces were different sizes when they should have matched!  After all, my seams were right; my cutting was correct, so the problem was buried deep in the directions.  W-R-O-N-G!  Funny how I can read over and over and still not "get it."  Classic case of Operator Error.

It's called orthostatic hypotension, or in English, your blood pressure drops from changing position. Pls do so slowly and give your body time to get acclimated to each movement!
