They were locked down but luckily none lost power.

That's good, I feel for the people who died in their cars, stuck somewhere.  It was and still is a mess there!

My goodness you got a lot done in one day!  When it's that cold here I just want to cozy up and look outside and read!

PS - what does "2023 bujo" mean in relation to your friend?

I gave a few tubs of fabric and batting to a lady in a nursing home, but then I was told she gave the batting away to wrap Christmas ornaments...that was really high quality stuff I could have used. I added it to be generous. That kind of stuff makes me grumpy.

Remember when we give a quilt or supplies away we need to let it go and all expectations associated with it!  It's kinda easier that way.

I got a good deal on my airfare to Phoenix because I had a $200 voucher from Southwest from my recent trip to Miami.  Yay!

Yay You!  I haven't booked yet as airfares are much higher than I've paid on previous trips and I'm closer going out of DEN!!!

Southwest better get their scheduling snafu's taken care of before Feb!!

Oh Boy!!  And the holiday and winter storm chaos issues!

We flew back to CA to do Christmas with our families and on the way out my mobility scooter was damaged when it got to San Jose.  We filed a report but couldn't connect to a repair person with the SW contracted repair company.  So we decided to check it in with our luggage home and it never arrived with our other 3 pieces.  DEN was crazy Tuesday night with lost/abandoned luggage EVERYWHERE and lines of people trying to find their items along with a HUGE line to wait in just to file a lost report.  After nearly 1/2 hour and the line didn't move DH decided we'd abandon the already SW damaged scooter.  Our driver was waiting for us and had been since our flight had been delayed out of San Jose already about an hour.  It was a crazy and looong day but we eventually got home.

I will say every SWA employee was patient, wore a smile and was empathetic to all passengers and situations.  I'm sure if everyone takes a chill pill and lets SWA get through this winter storm/Christmas holiday mess they can recover they can be the airline so many of us enjoy using.  They sent me a Lost Item report link to file my claim for the missing scooter.  I'm pretty sure we will get it eventually and then the repair company is prepared to handle it or replace it as required.

(((((Oh Cathy)))))  I'm so sorry for your loss(es) and new responsibilities for your Uncle.  You and Bob are in my prayers that you might be used to bring love and comfort to those in need.  You've had quite a holiday season but your family dinner at Christmas looked delightful.
