A member of one of the FB quilting groups I belong to recently posted this picture of a quilt top she has just finished.  The quilt was done by Margo Yang; I don't know her.

BUT, this layout is easy enough to use as inspiration (or even copy it) for all those Drunkard Path blocks and the multitude of variations.  She has also put some subtle Flying Geese in the layout.

Generally speaking, I don't do "improvisational" quilt because I tend to be rubbish at them.  But this one is something that I think even I could do and have it come out nicely.  :-)

May be an image of quilt and text that says 'Margo Yang 2023'

That is a really nice layout and I love the colors.

I like it but don’t know that I would make one unless I could find the right recipient.

I would make one *just to use up my scraps*, of which I have PLENTY.  I have many quilt tops which have no recipient at present.  (I also have lots of quilt tops that are earmarked for specific people).

At this point in my life, I'm gonna sew a layout if I like it, regardless if there is a recipient in mind or not.  I just *love* sewing the quilt tops.  :-)

Hadn't really thought of it that way (scraps).  Good plan.  Most of my unfinished tops are quilts that were supposed to be for me, a few are round robin tops from on here (well about.com).  They are on the list to finish someday though. Just don't know if I will ever make it to that list.
