kind of silly but fun   Quilting Swaps - Unsewn

for those of you not on FB, I'll share this here as well.  As an accountant, I love Excel almost as much as quilting.  My current job is almost perfect because it's part time, all I do is play around in excel, pretty much set my own schedule, and don't have to supervise anyone.

Anyway, I keep an excel workbook of all my quilts and other projects.  I was updating it to make sure I had added the recently done tops.  And here is the pivot table of how I'm doing so far this year.  A personal best and it's only September - 36 so far.  All those donation quilts have been adding up.  I've also been trying to use the patterns I've purchased over the last few years, doing pretty well.  I only have four left and two of those I have kits cut out.  the other two are Krista Moser tough ones - those are going to take some thought.

whoa, I just looked to see how many I've kept - that can't be right - 68?  And my daughter has 15, my son 6.  And 12 unfinished (not quilted), that does sound about right.

Wow! I have done 3 tops so far this year. I also sewed 3 garments.

yes, but how many miles have you driven!  I've hardly left my house except for the AZ trip.

To be honest I completely lost my motivation due to my vertigo until around July. We moved and I was determined to set up a sewing space. Also this is the first time since DH went to Texas that all my sewing stuff is in one place. I am currently on a mission to go thru what I have and purge what I don't want, sew stashbusters from what I sort of like and organize the rest. This week I sorted 2 huge scrap bins by color. I also cut a quick kit. I will be cutting lots of fabric into kits or components. Not sure what I will do with all the tops made. Some for charity, some gifts and keep some. I will say that my taste in fabrics has changed over the years. I have found quite a few quick stashbusters online that will be fun to whip up.

That's impressive.  I am 15 right now. Not as many as wanted to have done but work gets in the way. LOL

I started a list of all the quilts I have made since 1994. Not near this many but still fun to look back and see how far we have come.

Keep up the good work!

I am in several different groups, an applique group, a LA group, Texas Quilters group.  My quilting id is Deein Tex (clever, huh).  I have my "real" name in there too but pretty much just use that for extended family & home town stuff.  The quilting one is much more fun.  come find me.

I'm not that facebook savvy, but I think I found you.  I'm in a couple of scrap quilt groups, but one is getting rather tiresome and may get out of.
