Once upon a time, I did *one* crazy quilt block with all those luscious, wonderful seam embellishments and silk ribbon embroidery.  I have come across my instructions, guides, 2 books and just general information about crazy quilting.  It's quite a pile of printed instructions, about 3.5 pounds worth!

I ended up framing the crazy quilt block because I knew that I was never going to make another one nor was I going to make a quilt made up of crazy quilt blocks!  I admire those who make them; they are just not my cup of tea.

So, I don't need my instructions, etc.   If any of you would care to be the recipient of a care package, I would be delighted to mail it to you.  Let me know.  :-)

I did a bit of ribbon embroidery some years ago, and I loved how it looked.  And it seemed to go faster than when you use regular embroidery floss.  But like you, I couldn't see doing much more of it in the future.  I don't know what ever happened to my instructions and supplies, and I think I had at least one book, but nothing close to the amount of stuff you described.  I hope you can find someone who will use all of it and enjoy it.  If I ever find my stuff, I will also look for someone else to give it to.  I bet somebody in my local quilting group would want it.

Jonna, if no one on the forum is interested, let your local quilting group that my offer extends to them also.  :-)

I will do that thing!  Thanks.

Hi Shelley.  I still do a lot of crazy quilting and ribbon embroidery.  I actually have a crazy quilt project using wool motifs going right now.  However, I have an awful lot of instructions and books already - maybe even the same instructions as you have (you did the Kathy Shaw block, right?), so don't need more.  I just jumped in to say what a generous offer you've made.  I hope someone can use your info.

Yup!  That is the one and only block I've done.  It really looks wonderful; I have it framed and hanging in my hallway.
