OK ladies, I think I’m caught up now. For the last couple of weeks trying to read more than a few sentences of ANYTHING made my eyes cross and made me very sleepy. I’m sure it’s just a combination of pain meds and muscle relaxers. As of yesterday, I am now only taking half a pain pill at a time, and only when the pain creeps up not by the clock. Today will be an exception though, because it’s physical therapy today. Yuck! But a necessary evil.
I know most of you are on Facebook and already have had an update, but my knee replacement surgery went very well. I’ve been more independent than expected, and was a bit of a disappointment to my stepmother who was looking forward to dusting off her nursing skills for the week that I stayed with her and my dad :-) I moved back to our city house a week ago Wednesday, and continue to improve.
My knee flexion is now from 0 to 100°, though it’s still not comfortable for me to stay in the zero position for a long period. Working on that.
Phia has been taking good care of me. Mostly laying in my lap or next to my knee in the recliner. Today she feels that I need to work on my scar tissue and keeps walking across my operated knee LOL

Not true. There are some of us who would not touch Facebook with a ten foot pole.
It is nice to see you back here Misha. Thanks for the news about your surgical outcome and I'm glad to know that Nurse Phia is helping in her own unique way.

This is why I used the word “most“ instead of the word “all“. If I thought that ALL of you were on Facebook, there would be no need for me to post an update here.

Welcome to the Forum Gloria!
We are wild and wacky bunch...and we love 'eye candy' (ie..pictures!)

Welcome, Gloria. Some of us are from AZ and I'm lucky enough to be one of them (Sun City Oro Valley). Don't know if it's quilting that I enjoy or just being with some of these wonderfully crazy and talented ladies in February! I'm not on the Forum regularly, but do hope to see you here often. Again, welcome.

With all the rain in TX I hope all our friends here are okay. I hope you'll check in so we know.

Welcome, Gloria!
I'm in California and generally speaking, only see everyone in February at the Retreat.
As to what to do next, read everything there is to read and join in when you feel like it. The more you chat, the more everyone gets to know you and can more easily harass you. Errr .. no. Strike that. Only SOME people will harass you. I'm not one of them. You'll figure out the others soon enough. :-)
