So where are your posts about what you are reading and pictures of your projects.  We will miss our visit this year.

I've been sewing masks and am working on a quilt for my step granddaughter, Courtney.  She recently bought a house and it is a house warming gift for her, Kingsize log cabin.  I'm too embarrassed to tell you what I've been reading.  I have always been a biography or autobiography book lover but since this plague has started I have started reading trashy romance books.  Gary has been gone 6 years today and I have been alone so that might be the reason.  LOL

A king-sized quilt is a huge undertaking.  Did she get to choose the colors?  What colors are you making it?  So many choices of ways to put it together.  Glad you have a project.

About your reading choices...............Why not?  Whatever takes you away from the boredom of avoiding the virus.

Pink is her favorite color so I'm doing a pink and white log cabin with a green/pink floral for the center.  Not my favorite but I hope she likes it.  The pink "logs" are light pink expanding out to dark pink.  She did pick the pink.

That sounds beautiful. Sometimes you need to read books that take your mind away from the day, fun and exciting.

Kindle asks me all the time if I would like to post my current read on GoodReads.  Ummm, no...I don't want people to know I'm reading books about witch detectives.  Sheesh

You shades of pink log cabin quilt is sure to be a beauty and hit with the new home owner.  But King size is a huge quilt to sew.  Looking forward to a picture.

I've been working on JoyQuilter's Scrapbusting Mystery and I'm proud to say I started with the group and finished piecing it with the main group that began.  Well, maybe a week beyond the final clue.  But...  I had an important learning!  When you use the fabric from the big table of flat folds in the back of SAS...  check for flaws BEFORE you cut all your pieces out.  I had three of four outer borders on and was ironing the final border and found a 1/4' to 3/8" cut in the middle!!!  I had to slice a 1/2" strip out of the border and piece it back together to get rid of the cut RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE!  Since I'm keeping this quilt for me I decided I could live with an extra seam in just one of the four TOT borers and quilting will likely camouflage it.

BUT...  take heed my friends and check your SAS sale table fabric!!!

Sounds like it will be pretty.  Enjoy putting it together.

I'm trying to get stuff out of my sewing room.    Carrie finished quilting a baby quilt so I trimmed it, made the binding, and sewed the binding on the front today.  Now I have something to sew in front of the TV at night.  Also layered a small panel quilt for charity so that I could quilt it.  I'm ready to do step 3 of the Shout for Joy mystery quilt and then have to sew some large batting strips together for some of the other small tops I've made so that I can get them sandwiched and quilted.  Should keep me out of trouble for a while.

There is a reason their fabrics are so reasonable(cheap).
