Yea, the church school that I do the library for (where DS worked) is trying to open in person. Teachers are given no voice in this. It is crazy and the health risks of several of the staff concerns me! I’m not happy about it ....have told them that I will not take classes in the library, but will take a limited number at a time to check out books.
while on campus, the teachers all seem stiff and just keeping to themselves. It just isn’t the positive campus it used to be.
it is sad, and I wish we were not gearing up for in person just yet......
Sorry, guess you got a rant from me. This is my hot spot these days.

been working a lot...and studying. I put off my exam for another few weeks, tho.
Don't put it off too long! Just GO for it and trust you've done your diligence. God has a plan for you!! Trust it!!

DH is starting his 2nd week at the new job in Colorado.
That's great! I am glad this one is in the same area in CO so you don't have to get wheels up and move somewhere else. Even though that sounds like fun once or twice!

Oh. My. Stars! Your dear friend is so blessed to have you taking care of all those things around her home for her. When she comes home she will first look at her house and feel like she has a whole new home. I am sure, knowing you, you are not just making arrangements but cleaning and freshening up her home too.
Do take CARE of yourself during all of this. I am sure Anita will lean on you when she first gets home too. I'll be praying for your dear friend and YOU!!
I'll say it again... YOU are a blessing!!!

ETA: I'm sorry I posted this before reading everything I've missed. I am bummed for you your trip is not happening.
Viola!!! Now you will be driving to OH helping another friend move!!! I am so glad you will be spending time with your dear son in TN for his 50th birthday!!! We drove through a bit of TN when we went back to see dear friends in OH and it is so green and beautiful. And we really enjoyed OH too. Those states are so different from CA with the long stretches of multi lane highways with large grassy median and side areas on either side of the road. The widest we seem to have in CA is Hwy 5 that runs north to south in the center of CA but the government even had to claim imminent domain (and still tries to) in necessary grazing and farmland of the central part of the state.
Enjoy your trip and take plenty of time for stops and even quilt shop visits along your way just to relax and enjoy some eye candy!

We use the honor system.
Ohioans who have been out of state just go to their home and stay there. (Friends/relatives will bring groceries if needed.) We trust our visitors to self-quarantine themselves, so if you are coming to visit a family member you stay with that person and do not leave their home.
How reasonable that is! Treat adults like adults.
What a concept.
Pretty much a foreign concept here in crazy CA...

Thanks for that info Shelley. The way you hear it here in CA we are super high. But look... We are not even on the list!

Oh Viola. I am so sorry you don't see your son for his 50th birthday. I should have read all the way through all the posts first.
Hopefully you can make that trip soon.

That is exactly as my sister feels too. Everyone is on edge and the politics of everyday life working at a school are stressful at best in "normal" times. I'll be thinking about you all and saying some prayers for wisdom and protection! Linda's school had staff report back on campus starting yesterday so I haven't heard how that went yet or if there were many no shows.
