So far they found out that her kidneys are not working so they had to drain her until just a few minutes ago they put in a catheter and hopefully that will work instead of them going in and draining her there's just an Uber for other things test that there are taking that is not good but they haven't really got down nitty-gritty yet find out what her problem is because she went into three weeks ago for the same thing as she ran in Tuesday so they got to find out what's going on the family is also looking for an assisted living for her and she's just not able to take care of herself so keep praying that they will find something and and fix it

Glendale Mulqueens is open by appt.   due to size, they need to limit persons.

i am going back one day a week for a while.  They have a worker out for 6-10 weeks.  I will be filling online orders which is keeping them swamped!

Well, I am glad I am not  alone in my laziness!  My yard and garden is also really suffering!  This heat has just been too much.  I figure when it cools in Sept or Oct I will get more plants in.

Well, Rick and I have been walking several days a week.  I won’t mention what ungodly hour we get to go.....I know it would wilt you!

as far as the mailing, I have two quilts to get boxed and mailed!  I even have the boxes, just need to get that done too!

I have been VIRTUOUS!!   I actually drove to the PO to get both packages mailed.

I don't know why I resist going there.  Maybe because it's SO FAR away?  Literally, a 2 minute drive.  :-)

is anyone else having trouble getting motivated to accomplish things?  Not just your sewing.  I have good intentions, but I find myself sitting in my chair wasting time way more than I should.

So glad to hear you say this.  I have the same malady.  I see lots of things that need to be done or what I would like to do, but just don't have the "oomph" to do it.  I thin we are all so frustrated and tired of the current situation and just want things back to normal.

Not to rub it in....but the last three mornings it has been in the early 60's here!  And only gotten up in the 80"s. Very unusual for August!!

I finished the memory quilt and now am stalled a little deciding what to work on next.  Need to make a trip to Kansas with a load of fabric, trying to figure out how to do that and stay socially distant.  Probably go up and back in one day, ugh!

Viola,  if you are shipping a package with a quilt in it just insure the package as "bedding" or "fabric" if you want to insure it.

Or, easier yet, do not bother to insure the package at all.  These days most packages you send in the U.S. mail are automatically insured for $50.00.  So tell the clerk that the $50.00 is okay. Do not make a big fuss about shipping the quilts at the post office ... just act as though you are sending donated used clothing or something cheap.

I have sent quilts many many times, to as far away as Australia and as close as Cleveland (Ohio) and I have never had a package with quilts stolen. I used to send Project Linus quilts to faraway places that needed them more than my location did .... no problem.

So packing stuff today to go back up to Colorado for two weeks. I need a break from all this sorting and organizing (well more like packing and labeling things into boxes and donating stuff I really don't need or want). I am excited to be able to work on some more quilting. I do have some great handwork projects kitted up to work on as well and some clothes I am excited to sew. I sewed a wearable muslin the other day. Made a camp shirt out of a brown paisley to test the pattern and fit for a purple fabric I love. The fit is great so I want to get that shirt sewn and I cut out another pair of the jeans pattern I wore to retreat in a rust brown denim fabric...............actually that will go great with that brown paisley shirt.

So I will be on the road again tomorrow for 7 to 8 hours.
