Many of you know I lost one brother in February right before the Retreat. Some of you know my other brother now is fighting pancreatic cancer. He has made a decision to stop his chemo. He had radiation and one round of chemo that was apparently ineffective . The oncologist has tried another but it has made him feel worse and his numbers aren't getting any better. He has asked me to bring one of my sisters up to Las Vegas Sunday for a few days to visit him while he can have a decent visit. I was there recently and will let them have some one on one time.I'll also gather more info about his final wishes. This is hard.

Thanks. I'm also thinking that I will need to have carpal tunnel surgery soon, so I need to start looking around for a surgeon. Funny thing, I have typed for a living for almost 47 years and never had any pain or trouble with my wrists or arms until I retired. Well, I'm still typing, but not as much. I'm trying to adjust my new working area to be more ergonomic, thinking that might be part of the problem. I still have the same desk, but maybe I need a different chair and need to adjust the position of other objects. But it just may be that I am getting old and with so many years of typing and data entry, it is finally just wearing out. Well, it's much worse in my right wrist and arm, so I'm sure it has a lot to do with repetitive clicks and other mouse movements - and also how my arm moves when I am using the mouse. If I can get the ergonomics straightened out, that will go a long way to at least not making it any worse before I can have surgery on it. I do have a good wrist brace. Until I get this problem solved, I can't do much work around the house and especially the yard. Not to mention sewing! I have been so looking forward to some hand stitching, but will have to wait till this gets fixed. :o(
