Oh, Cathy .. I am *so* sorry to hear of your family's bad news. Praying for your brother and your family.

Thanks. I'm also thinking that I will need to have carpal tunnel surgery soon, so I need to start looking around for a surgeon. Funny thing, I have typed for a living for almost 47 years and never had any pain or trouble with my wrists or arms until I retired. Well, I'm still typing, but not as much. I'm trying to adjust my new working area to be more ergonomic, thinking that might be part of the problem. I still have the same desk, but maybe I need a different chair and need to adjust the position of other objects. But it just may be that I am getting old and with so many years of typing and data entry, it is finally just wearing out. Well, it's much worse in my right wrist and arm, so I'm sure it has a lot to do with repetitive clicks and other mouse movements - and also how my arm moves when I am using the mouse. If I can get the ergonomics straightened out, that will go a long way to at least not making it any worse before I can have surgery on it. I do have a good wrist brace. Until I get this problem solved, I can't do much work around the house and especially the yard. Not to mention sewing! I have been so looking forward to some hand stitching, but will have to wait till this gets fixed. :o(

Be sure to put a new battery in your mouse. Years ago I had issues with right wrist, the battery in my mouse was low but not low enough not to work but just be slow. the slower the mouse the harder I squeezed it. New battery and a couple of flicks by chiropractor fixed it.

Re your wrist, could it be the packing and moving? Perhaps when that is done and you rest it will improve. Odd that is started after you stopped typing for a living.

Laura you sound so much more positive! I'm so happy for you and look forward to seeing the pics of your special space.
