What an exciting way to start this new chapter.

So exciting and I wish you all the best!

Thanks!  I'm a bit concerned too much about details that are far down the road.  I just need to relax and enjoy each step of the process with DH.  And...  I may call on you to come and organize it all!!!

Congratulations, Colorado is a beautiful state.  I looked it up and Ft. Collins is up there close to Wyoming.  I know the winters will be very different for you but I have found that the weather doesn't matter when you are retired.

Thanks so much.  David knows how much I like the snow to go to and come home from.  So he's researched and promised me the few days we "should" have I can stay inside warm and dry!  He even plans to heat the garage.  Oh dear...

Thanks Ami!  Ft Collins is where DH's parents met as Dad was going to school at CO State and studying Electrical Engineering.  The town does still have a small feeling but the surrounding areas are beginning to grow and spread.  That is one reason we bought a larger piece of land so we can be sure to have space and elbow room around us.  Perhaps we can meet up sometime should you guys settle down in CO too.

How is Mark doing?  I hope his grumpier level is lowering!

Thanks Suze.  David is getting more excited as more financial "papers", electronic signatures and details come together.  He says he's not emotionally connected to it until we close and we are the owners.  I'm seeing signs of him being more connected daily!

ounds like a slice of heaven!

except for that little thing about SNOW IN THE WINTER.   ::shiver::   ick.

Yeah.  But dear David assures me it should only last a day or two AND that I DO NOT have to go out into it!  He is also guaranteeing me the garage will be insulated and warmed AND the car will be too.  It had better be!!!

But be sure you own the water rights, some areas in Colorado, the water rights do not come with the land

As we read the fine print on the papers we've been receiving we DO own the water rights to the well.  But I will be sure to double and triple check on that!

Oh my Judy!  The adventures coming your way!

i have been craving a trip to Co!  We have a couple of friends there.  But traveling isn’t happening so much right now!

How very exciting! Congrats and good luck on your new adventure. Colorado is the one place we have considered moving. Butunless one of the kids move there I am guessing we are staying put.
