I may have stolen Teresa's idea as I have a clear glass table lamp almost full of wooden spools of thread.

Cathy (cacnurse1) said:You should be better by now. Hope there is no bacterial infection overlying your cold virus. Glad you are having that left ear checked.
You get the prize! I'm over the cold but I now have a bacterial infection, sinus infection, allergy-induced asthma, AND a hole in my eardrum. I'm totally deaf in the left ear now. I have an appointment with the ENT doctor on the 21st. I've had two COVID tests a week apart and both came back negative. I'm grateful for that. On top of everything, my back is hurting so bad that I'm going to have an xray of my lower spine done as soon as I am able to drag myself over to the hospital. LOL I have had back problems for many many years but as soon as I sat down the pain would stop. Now it is pain all the time, standing or sitting. I told my son I'm on the down hill slide to check out. It's a good thing I'm an optimistic person otherwise I would be depressed.

geesh Carolyn, Stop that! We need you to be your normal wonderful princess self. Remember the post about being a Pineaple, stand up tall, wear a crown and be sweet (or something like that)!

Aaannd as careful as I've been, I'm positive for COVID. :( Not just a chest cold after all.

80% of people who test positive for COVID have mild symptoms. Hope you fall in that range. My whole family (Son, DIL, two twenty-year-olds, and a visiting cousin from California) all tested positive and had very mild symptoms. If they hadn't been tested, because they had been exposed, I don't think they would have known they had it. That is what is so bad about this virus, you can be spreading germs without even knowing you are sick. That's why it is important to wear your mask in public.

Yes, I thought it was a chest cold or so. It's taking quite a while and exhausting me. Hopefully it goes away soon :) And yes, I wear my mask always when out of the house.

So sorry. Well, you are young and strong and hopefully that will help you recover quickly. Assume you now have to stay home from work until you are fully recovered from symptoms and test clear? Take care.

those of you working in health care are exposed so often. I've been honestly surprised my daugher never seemed to have gotten it. No symptoms before the testing began, and never tested positive once the testing was routine. Our youth minister had it recently, said the tiredness was the worst for her, she's used to going 90 to nothing all the time (kind of like you ), sounded a bit like when I was recovering from pneumonia, got sick very fast but the recovery took weeks.
