Valley of the Sun Quilters   Off-Topic Chat

I don't know the young girl. Her name is Lily. My friend Judy and I who helped make the quilt with me know her only as the daughter of a friend of a friend. She is on several prayer chains in our community. Her diagnosis is not good. She kind of grabbed my heart as I read more and more about her on Facebook . So Judy and I decided to make this quilt. We gave it to her grandfather to deliver to her and we understand she was quite delighted with it. I think it blessed both Judy and myself each square and strip that we made.

It sure is bright and cheerful. Really pretty.

Bright, pretty and very thoughtful of your friend and you to make it for Lily.

You can watch the video on Jordan Fabrics. The name of the pattern is Hanging Gardens.

the one (quilt) we got for our gives, came in the mail, a complete surprise about 6 months after we married. I told Toby it was a baby quilt, he said “Bull” why would you say that?  I said the back is Holly Hobby. She knew, she passed before either of our kids were born. ♥?

How special!!  A bit of love anticipated for a new family generation.

Your filled with wooden spools full of colors is delightful!  You didn't steal Teresa's idea...

you just didn't recreate the wheel.

On top of everything, my back is hurting so bad that I'm going to have an xray of my lower spine done as soon as I am able to drag myself over to the hospital.  LOL  I have had back problems for many many years but as soon as I sat down the pain would stop.  Now it is pain all the time, standing or sitting.  I told my son I'm on the down hill slide to check out.  It's a good thing I'm an optimistic person otherwise I would be depressed.

Oh m ((((Carolyn )))).  Good thing you were wise to go back to the Dr to have your ear checked out.  Now rest and recover well.  I'm so sorry your back is so painful.  I do pray there is a solution that can immediately ease your pain while a long term solution to help you be planned.  My Dad struggled with bad knees and then back issues for a long time so I "get" what you mean about it all getting to you an be depressed.
