I am game to make more tops at retreat! Finished a baby quilt yesterday, for a friend in Altus (Jonna knows where that is!) and have one more to make. Used some Winnie the Pooh fabric and made up a pattern, but need to make it bigger, looking in my stash for more!
But I like doing charity quilts at retreat, easy and fairly mindless, and get a lot done!!

I have a new moto for myself on the large stash. The one that sews up the most of her stash wins. I can assure you it will not be me.
I am trying to make a dent on my UFO tops though. I am trying to pull out tops and get backs made and quilt them. Of course since I have a tendency to quilt things till they roll over and die this is not a quick process......but it is happening!

Challenge yourself, say you have to do minimal quilting on every third UFO you quilt. However you will probably look at your UFOs in a different light if you decide to challenge yourself like this.

Dee, my oldest has gone back to school also and he agrees! He has observations to do...but with Covid most places either are not in person, or will not allow extra persons in.
so, they watch hours of videos, along with your online in person classes, Ali g with Hours online doing homework stuff! Many days he comes out of his room all dazed! And crazy .

Patti, Will plan to make even more kits up and bring them to retreat! My ladies loved tieing the alphabet tops you made.

Yup .. before I was hit with the heritage scrapbooking urge, I was doing 2/3rds of that. I was concentrating on finishing up UFOs, matching them with backings and bindings. But then, I parted ways with you .... I have hung all those pairing on hangers and they are in a closet, waiting to be quilted. I can piece and make tops easily and quickly (if I don't decide on something intricate) but the quilting is another story.
Besides, I know that my girls can always "quilt by check" if they really want them done but if they find boxes of UFOs, they won't have a clue what to do! My goal is to get everything quilted, eventually, but initially I want to complete the UFOs.
**After** the scrapbooks! :-)

Jo the way I decide what quilt to do is I go thru them and pull out the one I am most excited about finishing, likely because I can envision a plan on what to do. Sometimes I pull out an old one and other times it is a recent finished top. I have to have inspiration or I don't want to work on it. I know some will never be completed by me and that is ok too.

Great! And I found another box of orphan blocks--sigh--am putting together some scrappy tops now!!

Shelley i really don't have that many UFOs left. Some years back I made a big push to make up all my block swaps into tops. I don't swap blocks any more so I usually am able to work on new projects and complete them. I have a few things not finished but am making slow progress on them.

I share your sigh! I just spent a day sorting others yarn, mess of fabrics, and filling the trash. I could have been doing something more fun.
