Valley of the Sun Quilters   Off-Topic Chat

Jo the way I decide what quilt to do is I go thru them and pull out the one I am most excited about finishing, likely because I can envision a plan on what to do. Sometimes I pull out an old one and other times it is a recent finished top. I have to have inspiration or I don't want to work on it. I know some will never be completed by me and that is ok too.

Patti,    Will plan to make even more kits up and bring them to retreat!  My ladies loved tieing the alphabet tops you made.

Great!  And I found another box of orphan blocks--sigh--am putting together some scrappy tops now!!

Shelley i really don't have that many UFOs left. Some years back I made a big push to make up all my block swaps into tops. I don't swap blocks any more so I usually am able to work on new projects and complete them. I have a few things not finished but am making slow progress on them.

I share your sigh!  I just spent a day sorting others yarn, mess of fabrics, and filling the trash.  I could have been doing something more fun.

I haven't planned it yet.  Various appointments coming uup I need to get out of the way, then I'll think about it.

Besides, I know that my girls can always "quilt by check" if they really want them done but if they find boxes of UFOs, they won't have a clue what to do!

Exactly what I have been doing.  All my UFOs are completed tops that can be easily quilted.  I don't have any ufo partial projects--only what I'm currently working on.  One of these days I'll get to quilting on them....

DD had me do the Ancestry DNA and I have been having so much fun working on my ancestors' history,  It can really suck several hours out of the day.

I may have stolen Teresa's idea as I have a clear glass table lamp almost full of wooden spools of thread. Cris in MT

Very nice Chris!  I thought it was such a clever idea, plus it's useful.  :)

Oh no Carolyn, I hope you are feeling better soon.  Sorry about your lower back pain, I know it's no fun having back pain.  I'm so glad you tested negative twice for the virus.  Hang in there!  So glad you are optimistic, I'm usually that way, but sometimes life can throw a curve ball.
