Thanks! I did get a new car, so it's a good thing :)
All righty, you Phoenix residents ... batten down the hatches!
1,053 is obviously a typographical error but 105 or 103 is still not funny.
How did those folks in Show Low get so lucky? Up in the mountains?
Show Low is up on the rim and much higher elevation so it never gets as hot as Phoenix. I love to hike the Grand Canyon and up on the rim it is usually quite pleasant in the summer, never that hot but true story down at the bottom of the canyon at Phantom Ranch it is a similar elevation of Phoenix and similar temps.............it can get really, really hot down there.
Here in New Mexico (just got here yesterday) the high was 61 and I was pretty cold as it was raining and we had turned off the heat for the season. Not gonna get very hot the rest of the week either and usually this time of year it is pretty hot here!
I hope the other driver is ok and wasn't badly injured. Replacing cars is inconvenient and a "pain for both of you. Hope you are feeling a little better by now.
Fortunately that map is in error. 105 is hot enough!
Yes, up in the White Mountains. Some of us go to quilt retreats up there. You can see why.
