I'll look forward to seeing a photo after the retreat.
I missed reading about everyone's projects too! I hope we can keep this thread going with lots of posts and photos.
I'm looking forward to more photos of your wonderful quilts.
Welcome to the forum and this thread! I hope we see you here often.
The quilt for your mother and the place mats are lovely!
I'm so glad you are joining this fun group! I have learned so much in the years I have been on here. I am very impressed by your lovely work. Are you sure you are a beginner? Your quilting is wonderful.
now that my tool carrier is done, I'm back working on DD's red and white quilt. I decided on the corner stones and 4 are done, need to applique 8 more but they go pretty quickly. All the sashing is done and I have a piece of fabric left 4" by width of fabric. And that is all. geesh, talk about cutting it close! Looks like I will be using red binding and fortunately I do have about a yard of one piece left so I should be ok on that.
Welcome, your quilt is pretty and it looks like you did excellent work on it.
Hope you continue to join our conversations
Love both projects you shared! Fabulous workmanship; the quilt is definitely in "my" colors.

It will be an early Christmas gift as they are a challenge to find gifts for. They are and will be the only grandkids on their mothers side in a very close knit family so the get a lot of gifts.
If you want a good tutorial on making pillow cases check out the one on Pirates blog.
