Here is the latest block I've completed in the Art Deco series. 8 more of these blocks and a substantial (but as yet, uncounted) number of border blocks to go. Oh, and the 4 corner blocks. :-)
I'm also still working on the reverse applique butterflies.

Hmmmmm .... those are strange leaves. Not my favorite block. Well, I guess there had to be one. Amazing work on the vining loopy swirly parts.

Thank you for the nice compliment! I don't sell or auction them off, I either drop them off at the guild meeting or take them myself.

Pretty block. Gonna get your fabric in the mail today, maybe you will use some for this quilt.
I really need to dye more fabric......next trip to New Mexico will try to find my dyeing supplies.

For some reason I thought it was being auctioned off! I’ve yet to try a Cathedral window. Yours gives me the incentive to try.

Thank you! It really is a very easy block. Go to youtube.com and check out Jenny Doan's tutorial on the Easy Cathedral Windows. You can actually chain piece it the way she shows it. I will probably make another one but later.

While waiting for all the pieces and parts to come together on the quilt I'm working on I wanted to make some summer tops for preschool aged DGDs. The problem, I want to use cotton, which really doesn't work for DD style and Joanne's didn't have anything that I liked . Light bulb moment to day when I was in the city, I went to a thrift store and bought four large sized men's dress shirts, cotton with wrinkle release. Not to mention I paid less than what it would cost for a yard of fabric,

I have not had any reports of problems with t shirt fabric "running". And I've stopped going around/avoiding the logo too. It doesn't pierce some of them, but as long as you aren't running too fsat, the thread doesn't skip or fray - I use superior threads so fine. If I go too fast it will fray, but the tension stays fine.

My DD asked for a polymer clay dragonfly to put in her garden. I have some metallic clay that I used for the wings of this critter so I'm calling it a dragonfly.
