Suze I hope the wedding is fun. Yes reading the info helps with the decision of what to wear.
I went to three places today looking for fabric. I wanted royal blue, not darker or lighter and shiny. I finally found fabric at Jo-Ann Fabrics. This dress needs to work for 3 weddings so I had to be picky about what I wanted.

Re: Flopsy
The petals on a real daisy aren't perfect but still very beautiful.
I hope you're being nice to "imperfect" Flopsy!

Since all of these "bugs" and other creations are going into pots at the back of our house I can be as silly as I want. They will be seen by family and friends only (including forum friends) so anyone who might think I've gone off my rocker (like snooty neighbors) will be unaware of my child-like designs.
Remember, there is a difference between childish and child-like. One is bad, the other is good.

after a run of 8 novelty quilts, I'm going to do something completely different. A friend wants me to cut up this much beloved and loved quilt made by a now deceased grandmother and turn it into a 3' x 3' wall hanging. I've had it for 6 months in a bag under my table, feeling guilty that I haven't started. I texted her again tonight, are you VERY sure you want me to cut this up? She said yes, so I guess I start cutting tomorrow. I'm only going to fold the edges back and add a hanging sleeve, so it won't take long. Somehow it just feels sacrilegious to cut up a quilt. But she's right, it's falling apart and she wants to save the memory before it is completely in shreds.

Did you notice that the grandmother made the red pinwheels going in an opposite direction from the others? Is that important in any way?

I had to make a new quilt for Pita as the one on his bed was once again "broken". This time it was cuddly enough, but too hot. He wanted to take the king size Bonnie Hunter quilt and use it on a full size bed because it is the right weight. Ummm, no.
I made a quick Card Trick (MSQC) out of batiks with a black background. It looks nice. He likes a very thin batting so I decided to use cotton. Then I discover I don't have any cotton batting (mainly because I don't like it at all. I don't like how thin, flat, and lightweight it is. It also doesn't define the quilting well so I'm really not a fan.) So here I was all motivated to get this quilt loaded and completed and instead I come to a screeching halt. Bah.
The good news is that Joann's has 40 yard rolls of Pellon cotton batting on sale for $199.99 which is a pretty good deal. Some of you might want to run take a look.

Here is my setup I bought dog 2 grooming arms to hold my quilts up as well as two bungee cords and strong clamps. I hope I can post the pictures one is just the setup and the other shows in use. Makes life so much easier!
