I've been doing that also.
In one of the crafting FB groups, a member asked to see how others stored their metal dies. In describing my "system", it occurred to me that I could make it more logical and convenient if I moved things around slightly. So, I did .. and yes, those items are now placed more reasonably.
But in so doing, I've naturally had to move OTHER items. My big challenge now, is to *remember* where those other items are. They are still, more or less, in my line of vision (I've discovered that if it's out of sight, it's out of mind and I don't use it), it's in a different place, which will take some time getting used to.
I've also re-organized other items, so they are not so messy.
I'm continuing to work on my needleturn applique.

Darling novelty quilt, Dee. It's good to see more of your lovely novelties again.

I ignored household tasks and sewed yesterday!
I pulled out my Dear Jane project....sigh, I bet it has been ten years since I’ve worked on it! Course it was always going to Be a forever type project, with all those blocks.
i appliqued two blocks while on vacation. The other evening while restless I cut out a bunch of fabric triangles - I want one of each fabric so this is a fiddly job. Also went through my notebooks to see where I was at and what I still had to do.
yesterday I want to do some pp ing so I did! I pieced two triangles and prepped the applique that needs to go on them. Finished two blocks that needed finishing touches. And then started 2 blocks, one triangle and one square and completed them!
I'm on a roll....

My, oh my. Those are lovely blocks. You do have a mountain of patience to even contemplate making those.

Well, truthfully, yesterday it was a serious case of how can I escape looking at the household jobs that need doing.....lol!

Those are *fantastic!*
Leave the project out, in its box, but so you can see it. One block a day or one block prepped and slowly but surely you'll get them all done!
I can see the end of my Art Deco Garden Forever Project.... I've just finished all 28 border blocks (but still need to make *140* small accent circles). I have only 4 12" blocks to prep and stitch. One block at a time!

Love the colors in those blocks. This will be a beauty.
Glad to know that you are in the very exclusive Forever Club with Pirate.

I'm jealous. My new job is stupid. They add 5 extra steps to every process. So I had to work all weekend again. Slowly but surely they will get whipped into shape.
Your blocks look fantastic!
