Thank you Lynne. It was fun and quick to make. I wanted to get it done before my knee replacement surgery in two weeks.

I can relate to that. Mine were done years ago and I have never regretted it.

I'm thinking about a checkerboard next, with little colored hourglass triangles in alternate corners.
It's kind of amusing. I decided that I had not been making quilts using 4.5" blocks so I was on a mission to use up all the precut squares I had stashed. Which I did use about 80% of them. And ever since what quilts have I been making? Quilts with 4.5" blocks. Aggggh. So I think I'm going to go ahead and cut some extras this time through my stash. I'm getting tired of cutting and refolding over and over.
