You got that right!

I'm not in a hurry to make mine, but I do need to make myself a table runner from the squares she hand embroidered. But I keep thinking if I can get her to do more I could have a quilt.
Her eyes are bad so she needs simple patterns to hand embroider, so I used a transfer pencil and traced flowers out of an applique book, ironed them on squares of fabric. Now she's saying no more, the pink is to hard to see. So now I need to try to find something else to do the tracing with, which will probably mean tracing each square individually.

thanks
re roomba, I wasn't sure how well it did with lots of carpet and dog hair. And vacuuming and walking the occasional stairs at work is about all the exercise I get -

It does fine on carpet, realizing that it is a surface cleaner not a deep cleaner like a vacuum. I don't know how it does on pet hair but I can't believe how much human hair it finds in my bedroom.

Well, I have been puttering with my Dear Jane blocks again. Over several evenings I did some applique and this afternoon I got together with a fellow DJer to sew. She prepped several blocks. And I sewed one block - 37 pieces - in red and white.
moving along, moving along.

Judy and Shelley, thanks for the encouraging hands. My friend was super excited that I asked her to get together and work on our blocks. We chatted and are going to try keeping us going at this forever project.

All three are very stunning, Dee. I hope you don't mind if I "pin" the last one for inspiration.

How nice of you to make a quilt for all the siblings out of your mom's work. It will be a treasure for them. Do we get to see a picture?
