well here's the last B&W novelty.  I'm down to deciding on the sashing.  Originally I was going to use left over piano keys made from scraps, but it was too busy/messy.  So I thought about pieces rainbow colored 2x2 squares, then thought maybe try some of the rainbow fabric.  I'm not completely thrilled with any of them, but am leaning towards the rainbow stripe, but perhaps more narrow than shown here.

I've also been making some progress with my reverse applique - DH has surgery to remove his gall bladder & I worked on it while waiting at the hospital & dr. offices.  It's fun to see the pattern appear as I cut away the top fabric.  The 2nd picture shows where it will be placed when finished.  I'm using fabrics left from the NYB on the wall.

I like the rainbow fabric but I also like the cream (design wall?).  What about rainbow fabric horizontal and a cream vertical?

hmm, that's an idea.  I don't know about cream, but maybe it does just need a solid/tone on tone of some color.  Maybe that's what I don't like about the rainbow, no place to rest your eyes.

rainbow stripes if it were narrower could work...but I think I agree with Jo...your accidental cream sashing is pretty nice!

Your reverse applique project is gonna be awesome!

Well, a few f us are up north at quilt camp!  I just finished a baby quilt top that is due in November!  It was a bit challenging, but I like the end product....here it is.

This is for a baby girl that will have TWO rough and tumble older brothers!  Lol.....she is gonna get tough real quick!

I agree with Marcia ... that is the cutest llama ever!  I think of those feet as "blue suede shoes" so I must be giving my age away. flushed
