Pat, glad to see that you have posted.  I love your quilt and the placemat.  I see you have moved on to half square triangles.relaxed  For the rest of you, Pat is an experienced seamstress and makes lovely wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses.  I think we will see lots of lovely work from her here.

Pat, did you use a machine decorative stitch on your placemat?

Cathy, that is  similar to how the awesome Sharon Schamber started her quilting career. Before she became an award-winning quilter she had decades of bridal gown work "under her belt" so to speak.  Now she makes quilts that take years to complete.

I have been making some progress on Athena's baby.  Unfortunately, I had to use Jack to help me fix two blocks before starting on the inside borders.  Not much sewing going on today, waiting for the carpet cleaners to get here, so until my carpets are clean and dry I'll be parked on my sofa doing some slow stitching.   Here's a pic of the baby quilt .......

Today I finished the charity quilt top, marked the quilting lines on it, pieced the back and sandwiched the layers.  Tomorrow I will pin it and then start quilting.

Wish I had had that pattern back in 2003 when my DDIL was expecting her twins!  It is a darling quilt and DDIL loves penguins.

Marcia and Suze, thanks for the complements.  This pattern has been in my baby quilt binder for a while now.   It is a fun quilt to work on.
