Thanks, Sue. I really did have fun working on it. Yes, my scrap stash is pretty healthy!

woo hoo! I have finished the top of my Hen House Forever Project! It is roughly 56"x68". I still need to make the binding for it and pin the binding to the top (so it doesn't get lost). After the quilting, I'll sew on the teeny-tiny buttons for the eyeballs.
I already have the next handwork Forever Project started .. it's a Hidden Box EPP hexie project.
But before I resume *that* project, I need to be longarm quilting the Stash Busting Stars and vine applique top for DD#2, who requested a new queen size quilt for herself. I think I'm going to need to *think* about how to load the quilt, how to work with my Innova and generally, how to longarm again! It's been a VERY long time since I last did any quilting! That's probably not such a good idea ... to take such a long hiatus that you kinda forget things that once were second nature. Perhaps I ought to put my hobbies in rotation ... a week on this, a week on that .. just so the knowledge doesn't become dusty.

That Hen House quilt is cute, cute, cute!! I seem to recall you used to have a bunch of "girls" on your property so I assume this quilt is a tribute to your ladies. Much quieter than the real thing, of course.

Shelley you hen quilt is adorable!
On the use of the longarm, yes if you stop for to long you loose it. If you always have a quilt loaded you can take small chunks of time and get so much done. There have been times where I just set a clock and was amazed at the progress.

We just got back from a quick 4 days in New Mexico. I took my 3D hexi quilt and finished the applique in the truck. Time to get my next handwork project prepped.

I don't generally decorate for the seasons, but decided I wanted a fall wreath for my back door--and do a bit of stash busting. This took an awful lot of 2.5 inch strips but I don't even notice anything missing in my stash.

That's a handsome wreath, Lynne. Too bad it didn't reduce your stash.
Guess you will have to make some more.
