Of course. That makes sense.
Your new house will be designed with the most spacious quilting room in Texas thanks to your careful planning with the kindest DH in the world.
(Or remember Bonnie Della Camera in Florida whose DH built her a huge separate pole barn for her stash and her longarm and all of her "stuff"?? As I recall she had a loft for her batting. I made her one of my bobbin fobs back in the day. Maybe you could go that route on your acreage. Dream big, girl!)

You said, "I am a obsessive finisher, 10 was as big as I could let the stack get."
(whispering: 72!)

Actually new sewing room will be pretty similar to the current one, only slightly larger. I am pretty happy with this set up.

Awesome! I love the look of your latest. I'm proud of your determination to get them quilted before you take off on more tops. I should try that.

Except for the shifting around I have to do in order to do the quilting on my longarm ....
My thinking is, why not shoot for the moon (think big) when you have the chance?

I understand your point, but we are also trying to keep the square footage (and $$$) below a certain threshold. It only takes about 10 minutes to shift - not really a big deal but not something I'd want to do back and forth repeatedly. I prefer the production line kind of method, to do things in chunks. And I can still press when the machine is loaded, I move one of the pressing boards to my large cutting area, then an extra cutting mat either on half of the pressing surface or on my sewing surface. I know not as ideal as a dedicated surface but I really do enjoy being able to do the tshirt fusing on that loooong table on my LA. I use that table for storage underneath and for pulling fabrics too - it gets a lot of use every day.

What? Trying to be sensible about your forever home?
DH and I more or less went "whole hog" on our place and were confined only by the lot restrictions (set-back from the street and from other lots, etc.) so I imagined that you could go bananas with your acreage. But then you plug in the sensible thing like budget and prick my balloon ... sigh.
