Definitely over and done with my career as a jelly roll quilter!  persevere

This might be my sixth or seventh or eighth jelly roll quilt;  I do not want to bother to go back through my scrapbooks and verify an exact number. Just know that enough is enough. LOL  This one is about 48" x 78" and is called the "drag race" variation. I think I got the idea from Jordan Fabrics but I might be mistaken about the source.

I tried using Donna Jordan's idea for attaching the binding but since I don't have her strong thumb for pressing the binding to the side nor her iron thumbnail either it did not go well at this house. Live and learn.

Now I am organizing some batik charm squares for Dee's idea for a Beads quilt.

But first I have to work some more on that 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle.

ooh...like how that turned out...colors are splendid!

Well it sure is a pretty quilt. I love the bright happy colors that are so nicely set off by the black polka dots. Love the scrappy binding.

Thank you, Ami.

I still have a small stash of wild border fabrics (like those dots) left from my days of making juvenile quilts for Project Linus (they were great for expanding cute panels into larger quilts). As for the scrappy bindings, well, I have a big jar full of those from various projects. The binding for this quilt just happened to be jelly roll strips that didn't get added to the quilt.

Judy your quilt is so bright and cheerful. I love the jelly roll colors. I also want to thank you for mentioning Donna Jordan. I have been reading through earlier posts on this forum to get caught up and saw that name several times. I was not familiar with her and did a Pinterest search. Oh my goodness, what a treasure. I'm so thankful to be back on this forum and already getting new ideas.

Thanks again, NanaSuz

NanaSuz, I know that many quilters use Pinterest but if you go to

https://jordanfabrics.com/

you will find more ideas that you can use in a couple of lifetimes. She offers classes, kits, precuts and more fabrics for sale than a human can possibly cope with.  LOL

Never in my life have I made a **hand-pieced** baby quilt! It has always seemed to me to be way more work than was warranted. :-)

I say give this adorable quilt to a girl baby who will someday grow up to play mommy and wrap her baby doll up in this charmer of a quilt. Despite what the trends are now there are still little girls who want to play with baby dolls.
