well I tried adding some leaves, cut a bunch out and put them up - and Judy was right. They just didn't look right, too much white space as compared to the center. So Stars only it is.

I'm glad that you agreed with my thinking about no applique around the houses.
(Perhaps it's because houses in Ohio have snow covering our ground right now; white makes a nice contrast around colorful houses this time of year.)

I was going to comment earlier ... Friendship stars for the friends who live in your houses. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it! LOL!

Yes! They were shirts leftover from my FIL, whom I loved dearly. He had tons of flannels, so I put together a lot from them :D

I would have picked the stars too, Dee. And I don't think it needs applique. I like the whit space. I would even leave the corners open. But that is me.
I have got some sewing in this week. I was given a top that I took to the church group. They tied it and I got the binding done. I'm learning machine binding an am not very good at it. Then yesterday I also simply quilted a small charity quilt and this morning did the binding. This afternoon I quilted a little larger quilt, just stitch in the ditch and will complete the binding in the morning. Then I have one more larger quilt that has been waiting in the wings for quilting and binding. I hope to finish it this week also. Then I'm caught up with UFO church charity quilts.

You have been super busy! Two very lovely quilts--someone will be lucky to get one of them.

Cathy, those are cheery looking donation quilts that two children will love. Keep practicing the binding and it will get easier and easier.

Cathy you sure have been busy. The charity quilts look great and are going to make the recipients really happy!
