I like it the way you arranged the colors it is really beautiful a lot of work

thanks Judy.  Yes she did.  Hers is blues & browns - she tends to like civil war like colors - about as different from mine as possible.  She got frustrated and appliqued hers down around the edge.  Her pieces are also larger, I didn't want a large quilt so I shrunk mine by 73% - not a good idea - it made the curves harder to piece.

Thanks Ami.  yes, definitely a great feeling.  I am planning to start quilting it right away.  I want it FINISHED.

thanks Suze & Viola.  It is very dramatic looking.

Oh wow!  That i absolutely stunning!

I started on the quilting tonight.  I am sure glad I decided to do ruler work instead of freehand.  I'm pleased with how it is coming out.  1st pass is done, looks like it will take 3. I'm not sure what to do in the border, I'm thinking perhaps bead board.  Seems like some straight lines would be a nice contrast to all the arcs.

Your choice for quilting is absolutely perfect!

Looks great. Bead board would look really good.

quilting done except for the border.  It was actually pretty fun, trying to keep quilting without breaking thread - on the last pass I was able to do all of it in one continuous line except for 3 little arcs - so close!
