Wow! That is one humdinger of a project you have going there! You are so organized! I often struggle with determining light, medium, and dark when pulling from my stash until I get them all lined up. I look forward to watching the progress on this beauty.

Have you ever ordered wide backing from Marshall Dry Goods? I ordered it by the bundle and was very pleased with it. Good prices and great selection.

A tip I learned back when for determining light, medium, dark...take a pic in black and white. It will show you values quite well. Also the ruby beholder or other such thing helps, but the photo is the easiest :D HTH!

I was looking at their wide backs a few days ago but not sure of the quality as I have never ordered from them before. Thanks for the recommendation.

This is going to be stunning - I love it already.
Don't you like how happy Tula Pink's colors are! I'm working with some of her fabrics on an EPP project called Tula Nova. It's not as complex as the one you're doing, thankfully. I wouldn't have the time or patience for that these days. I admire you for tackling this.

I've been pretty pleased with connecting threads wide backings. One of them (think it is called chambry) raveled a bit but otherwise nice. And a couple of them have been as nice as very high end LQS.
