I will go shopping in my scrap stash! Are you using batiks?  Your "bits
tub looks like, but I can't tell for sure.

Yes, ma'am, I am using batiks.

For those of you that know that I always do hand turned bindings.........well today I did a baby quilt binding all by machine. My daughter is gifting a quilt to a friend who is having a baby. I was asked to quilt and bind it for her. I figured a machine done binding would hold up better than hand, and it does not take forever to do. It does not look too bad.

Congratulations!  clap

Every one of the quilts I've made have all had machine made bindings and lightning has not struck me dead yet .... wink ....  so you might find that there are other times in your future that it will be just fine to do machine bindings.

In my case I did not have the finger agility and strength to do hand bindings so it was a "needs must" situation. Someday you might find it is your turn ...

Perhaps Lynne has "two bags of 1930's feedsacks" for all I know.

You are so close!  I have 2  rubbermaid tubs of 30's fabrics.  The are so cute and make sweet baby quilts.  It's been a dry spell for babies, so I'l just have to donate them when I get to them

suspect that sometimes she is ankle deep in scraps so rather than have her trip over the odds and ends she can clean up the floor and send them to me.  LOL

Sadly, you are a lot closer than you think.  My floor IS littered with scraps!   Not quite ankle deep, but could get there if I'm not careful.  I'm not nearly as organized as you might think.  If you entered my sewing room, your inner Dorothy would throw up her hands and faint  I do have the little bulldozer you sent me at one time, but it just sits on the shelf and laughs at me. But--hey--it is my  happy place.

I’ve kinda been away from the forum a bit.  And back and forthwith my sewing as well!  “A little bit of this….a little bit of that,”

earlier this week Carrie and Cathy came and helped me put together this last quilt for Denise’s family.  I’m so glad this is done!

just to make it simpler, I thought the column would make it easier.  It did, and I like the affect.   The backing is pieces we had left (with a bit from my stash.). Enjoy!

Nicely done!

I'm sure Denise's family will treasure these quilts.

I also finished putting rows together on this quilt for a friend.  Pattern is from one of the 3 yard quilt books.  Have you seen some of these books?  Simple patterns, quick and easy.

i am hoping to use up some one yard cuts in the charity boxes!

but here is the quilt……might do borders.
