House/Dog sitting so only brought easy sew projects. My 3.5" HST. Decided to make one block from that HST chart with the darn things. AND forgot my iron so I had to revert back to my childhood helping grandma iron.. Cast Iron on the Potbellied Stove. Thankfully today I didn't have to make a fire, as gas and a skillet worked just fine. LOL Necessity is the mother of invention. If there's a will, there's a way. Worked fine.. but SO happy electricity is now popular.

oh that is so interesting...I didn't catch that 2 and 3 were the same block.

I love al of you bright and cheery quilts! I also like how when you hover over the picture, it gives you the option to "pin" it. How cool is that?

thanks Lynne - we have a lot of "cross pollination" between us, don't we! I don't have the option to pin, might be the version of the forum I use. But that would explain my I periodically see one of my own quilts on Pinterest. I still remember running across one and thinking hmm, that looks a lot like one of my quilts. When I looked at the name, it said "Dee's quilt" - haha.
I've met a lady at one of the guilds that is crazy for novelties, we are having fun sharing patterns. And one of the ladies at the guild wants me to take her entire novelty stash - I haven't seen it yet. Hopefully there isn't too much pastel, but if there is I can donate to the other guild. One of the advantages of being in two guilds that don't have a lot of overlap.

Very cute quilt for your granddaughter. Did she love it? The rows of birds and wagons are my favorites.

All your kit prep paid off. You sure got a lot done. Hope you had time for fun and talking too.

Taking advantage of today as the forum is allowing me to post. I've been working on completing the many quilt tops that were hanging in my closet. Carrie has been slowly quilting them as they have no due date and then I bind and label them. I don't call them done until the label is on. Here are 3 recently DONE.
Most of you will have seen this top as most of you thoughtfully contributed blocks to it. It is such a special quilt to me that it took a while to make the label. I love it. Tje name of this one is "Healing Hearts".
The next one is just a quick Christmas panel.
and finally a log cabin made of Thimbleberries scraps. The logs are 1 1/2 inch. Some of the blocks jump out at you.

I have also been working on the 3rd and last t-shirt quilt from my brother's t-shirts. He passed away in 2020. His poor daughter has been waiting too long for me to get this done. The quilt top is ready to go to Carrie for quilting.
Jonna, did you notice that I used on of the blocks you showed us how to make at retreat. I also made a sawtooth star using the colors she wanted in the quilt. Glad to have the top done.

I went back and looked at the "pinned" quilt and the title said "what are you working on now" Pretty handy to keep track of the great inspirations you post.
How fun that you are being gifted with new to you novelties. Hope there is a lot you can use.
