BASEBALL...ok baseball quilts for the grandsons. They both had a terrific year of travel ball and did really well. One played in a tournament at the Field of Dreams, the older one played in a big tournament in Louisville KY and toured the Louisville Slugger Baseball bat factory.
Found the fabric (Dan Morris America's Pastime) for these quilts at Heartworksquilts.com in Fly Creek NY. Doing them in a 12.5" Split Ohio Star, as they live in Ohio. Not sure if I'll use sashing or not yet.

What perfect fabric and pattern for your baseball boys! I'm sure they will just love them.

I have the same "quilt/block" size issue when I try to put something on point in EQ as well. AND when I do a check on blocks in the quilt by doing a preview of them, they are always bigger than my original size.
The larger size is due to the EQ measuring from Point to Point, instead of side to side, therefore the Quilt size will show larger. My Blocks are actually 12.5 unfinished.
Just make a few and layout them out and keep measuring until you get the Size of quilt you really want.
I think I'll ask my EQ instructor and see what the response is and will share with you.

The final step for this quilt was gifting it to the couple this afternoon. We took a huge detour thru the mountains to see some Fall color. Got this parting shot of the double wedding ring quilt. They both loved it.

Thank you. It is one of the few quilts that I bought all the fabric to make it. It took a few months and multiple stores to find just the right mix of colors.

nice. I especially like how the bead board goes through the narrow blue inner border.
