Wow, that's great! That's how I'd like a kit. Many come really as hunks of fabric, when they say "precut kit" :(

She calls the pattern Star Blossom & sells kits of VERY Scrappy fabrics

I just contacted her and she's out and doesn't expect to have more.  So sad.  I really wanted one

Finally got back into my sewing room for a couple hours yesterday and today.  I used the time to complete my lotto blocks for the retreat.

One thing checked off my list.  Now on to designing and making my door hanger.

I saw when Quilting mama posted that quilt and liked it!  Your scrappy one is looking great!

I did not finish as many of my UFOS last year as I had wanted to. Let's just say life happened. I did finish 4 large quilts, my mini quilt and one little bag. I also finished handquilting my oldest UFO a little pillow and just need to sew it into a pillow. I got a good amount done on another large top and hope to get that one done fairly soon.

We are driving back from 10 days skiing and visiting our girls. I am hoping to go thru some bins tomorrow and plan out more UFO completion projects.

Hope everyone has had a good start to the new year.

I found this book at work recently…..and I am always looking for creative ways to use panels!

inside I found a solution for some panels I have from donations that have hunks cut out of them….check out this solution!

so, I haven’t done it yet.  But I sure want to give it a try!

I finished several last year and am in the "almost done"( 2 need binding 3 + those 2 will need a label) part of several.  Trying to prioritize them.  That's hard because there are so many others I want to do.  They would be easier to finish if I could ignore all the pretties I see on Pintrest, FB, and here.  I am happy with my progress.  Also trying to use up scraps.  I joined a scrappy FB group.  That only increases the distraction.

Looks like a god book.  I really like that 2nd picture.  Often our donations to the church have fabric with parts cut out of the middle  Probably someone who appliqued.  Hard to figure the best use for it.  You've given me an idea.  Post bookmarked!

You can also make "scrappy" binding out of panels (or parts of them).  Whole or partial panels make some really interesting binding.  LOL  And on my list of things to try is making a jelly roll out of a random panel, and then use the 2.5 inch strips like you would those from a "regular" jelly roll.  Or, you could cut them into 2.5 inch squares.  I can think of some other ideas to do with them, and because I love scrappy blocks, I have a lot of ideas.  Fun!
