Dee, I have that panel as a cross stitch sampler chart. Do you know where your sister found it as fabric? I'd love to have both!

Dee, I have made another one with that panel pattern and I really like it…but put on your sunglasses! It is bright!

nice, but you are right, very bright. My bedroom growing up was painting that color of green. My dad was very nice to let me do that.

I have a dilemma with my Tree of Life that I was working on at Retreat...
It's turning out to be incredibly hard to get those embroidery threads stitched down! I decided to use a tulle netting to corral them - I think will work. I can stitch close to the threads but not over them.
My dilemma is how much of the project should be covered with the netting? I can stop it at the edge of the crocheted antimascassar, or the center backing, or cover the whole piece... here is what I had at retreat...it's changed some, but the basics are still the same.
so where should the netting stop?
It adds a kind of a sheen but not sure if that is what it should do on the brown or green check...
The button flowers/butterflies/bird will be on top in any case - I am not liking how those look under the netting!

I got the panel for the online quilting classes I am going to be taking given by Angela Walters, starting May 9th. Tomorrow, I'll wash the panel and load it on the longarm. I think this will be a very interesting series of classes.

I signed up for the Angela Walters classes too Shelley. I'm going to try and work on one or two of my quilts rather than the panel. I hope that works out and I don't get too frustrated.
Have you been doing the Free Motion Filler Frenzy by Natalia Bonner (Piece N Quilt) too? It started Sunday but she said it's not to late to join. Once signed up we can watch them at our own pace, over and over again. I'm getting a lot out of that one and think I will out of Angela Walter's classes too. If you're interested in that one, here's the link to sign up: https://piecenquilt.com/products/2154529

I hadn't heard of Natalie Bonner's project before now. It does look interesting. Do you know if the lessons will be available for viewing later on?
I realize that it started a week ago but I'm just getting over a cold and have very low energy right now. I don't feel like pushing myself to catch up.
