So, here is my latest quilt flimsy….l

in some donations I got a bunch of animal prints.  So I looked around  at work for a pattern I could use them in and found one called “Elvira”.  The pattern calls for a Stripogy ruler, but also gave some basic directs gave suggestions for using regular rulers….which I did.

I haven’t decided if I will add one more row to this top, or a narrow black border, but I do like the way it came out!

There is no gold fabric.

The fabric I have is black with a gold metallic floral design.

I've put a query out to  seller on Etsy .. she has the same stuff on a white background.  She's gonna look to see if she has it in black.

I've also put a query out to Missing Fabrics, although that is probably a very long show.

Here's a picture of it.  It's "Garden Glitz" by M'Liss Rae Hawley and was marketed by Joann's Fabrics.   The gold design is a very sparkly metallic gold.  Very textural.  I've already looked at Joann's online inventory and it's not listed.  Not surprising; I assume it's ... ::ahem:: ... "vintage", as I have absolutely no idea when I bought it.

Oh, I thought you said "gold" but meant the yellowish color in it. Sorry for my misunderstanding!

That is a cool looking design.

Shelley, I’m don’t think I have that one…but I thought I had gold and black.  I will be in my sewing MESS tomorrow and will check to see if I have something similar!

Plans for the weekend include Star Wars Geeks movie night at the San Angelo Library (adults only) - 6:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m.  Do we know how to live it up, or what?

Then, I will be watching the coronation on the BBC, while I cut some pieces for potato chip blocks.  (Already have the 2.5 inch strips; now just need the 4.5 inch segments.)

And THEN, a big nap.  Again, living it up here in West Texas.  LOL

I worked on my Tree of Life for a while...til my back gave out (sigh) I need a design surface to work on where I can sit down...

Sat out back and watched the birds and the clouds for a while. Sure is pretty in the springtime!
