there is lots of room once kiddos take "most" of their stuff. We are down to one elderly dog and are about to get a puppy (Rhodesian ridgeback from a rescue group - we've had two before and really loved them). Yup feels a little crazy to be getting a puppy with new carpet. But it is "pet friendly" carpet - so the sales pitch went. Plus we shut off that part of the house pretty easily, so the puppy will be on the tile floor most of the time. The only worry is the new sofa in the den - quilts will be used to protect it until he's out of the jumping/teething phase. Fingers crossed he doesn't drive the elderly female too crazy.

Cc,
that self binding is what we do on most of the church charity quilts. But, sometimes the backing is just big enough and then I use binding from my scrap binding box! When I cut binding and I have just enough fabric to cut one or two more strips, I just make extra binding! So, I do LOTS of scrappy bindings!
I am in KS with my dad for a week. So I will miss my sewing and be eager to ge5 home and sew again next week! Lol

Ridgebacks are pretty neat dogs! Good luck with the puppy days….lol!
I am at dads a few days while my sister is away. Really, really dry here in KS. But getting showers this morning…,so much for yard work this AM. Lol.

Very nice! I really like the colorful clamshells. I vote for the black border, but you are probably already done with it. I’ll have to read ahead to see what you have done.

Is your Tree of life quilt the one you were working on at retreat? That one was sure an outstanding piece of art. I hear you on back issues. We need an ergonomic cushy chair that we can move in different positions to take the pressure off our backs while working on our projects. Leaning forward isn’t the best on our backs. And a design surface that works with the chair.

The movie night sounds like fun with the Star Wars Geeks. I haven’t been to a theatre in way too long. I watched a little bit of the coronation in the afternoon. Yes, it sounds like you are living it up. Ha ha!
