Dear Quilting Friends,
I took my husband, Fred, to his cardiology appointment Friday and she sent him to the ER. He has been having pain off and on and this his his third trip to the hospital for this issue, He was admitted. They are planning to do a heart catheterization to see what is causing pain. The complication is that he has damaged kidneys and the dye used in the procedure may cause him to have to go on dialysis. They say they can reduce the strength of the dye to help lesson his chance of more kidney damage. We have a lot on our mind. Writing about it helps.
Mary I am so sorry. Prayers for both of you.
Prayers going up for you and your hubby, Mary.
Mary I'm so sorry that y'all are having to deal with all of this. You are in my thoughts.
Mary, a person can sometimes be on dialysis on a short-term basis for a crisis situation and then go off dialysis once the crisis is over. That might not be the case for your DH but I just thought I would share that idea with you.
Best wishes for you and Fred during his hospitalization. Try to think your best thoughts in the coming days.
Mary, I'm so sorry that you and Fred are going through such a difficult and worrying situation. It's the unknown that's so hard.
Yes, Judy the Dr told us that it could be temporary. His blood test has been stable at 3.1. It may go up after the surgery and come back down over time on dialysis.
As the doctors said the heart takes precedence over the kidney.
Thanks for the reminder to think good thoughts.
Oh, dear! Lots of concerns for sure. I'll have you on my prayer list.
Mary, please post an update on Fred when you can. We'd like to read news when you have some to share.
