I want to thank all of the hostesses for a splendid retreat...though I did not get as much done this time due to my back issue (which turned out to be an out of alignment rib issue- not a broken bone issue as originally suspected!), it still was a grand experience! I appreciated that it was more relaxed this time!
I had wonderful table mates - Ellen, Marcie and Mel! We all are a bit OCD...but about different things! It was fun watching Ellen get chocolate after chocolate from her Secret Sister...
The Ugly Fabric challenge was fun this year too...the variety of objects that the participants came up with was very interesting...I will have to make a few of them!
I am still packed...one of these days I will have to get the suitcases emptied!
Looking forward to next year already...I got some info about the collage technique that QuiltMama does - she can take up to 8 students at a time, and would love to have us come sometime during the Retreat next year...if we can arrange it, we will try for Wednesday before Retreat... So far Ami, Yetta, me and someone else (sorry...I forget who else expressed interest - it will likely come to me in the shower!!)....dunno if there is enough interest to have multiple studio sessions...
So it looks like i have another project--lol
I found a glide foot for my machine. It is $100, but I think it will be money well spent to best you.
I sure know a lot of longarmers who use those glide feet!
So, Chris had mentioned she was going to move ~early summer. A friend of mine is looking for a roommate in June. Ok, I started discussions with her. Then, Tina (Christina, but that gets confusing) asked if she could move sooner. I won't earn as much $$ from Tina, as she is young and doesn't make as much. I decided to ask Chris if she minded me moving another roommate in temporarily. Chris became upset and said she would start looking for a new place to live sooner. She posted on FB she was ready to scream (tho not why, but I noticed it was directly after our conversation.) I'm upset. I'm not trying to hurt my friend. I was trying to help Tina and also it would help me pay some debt faster. I could use some prayer. I'm really frustrated...
I'm glad you're feeling better!

I might be interested, but I would like to see some examples of what she would be teaching. I’ve looked through her Facebook page but see mostly other things. And her website doesn’t seem to load very well on my phone, some pages come up blank.
I invited you to her art page...https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=10157152686482220&id=335608752219¬if_id=1582031886653413¬if_t=comment_mention.... shows some of the collage work...she uses clear acrylic medium to stick paper or fabric down...looks pretty neat!
I looked at her page, I am game to try it, of course there is the hauling the collage home..may create a problem!!
Well all, I am finally home and unpacked!! Got home from Denver Wed night, crashed and unpacked and washed clothes Thursday. Some snow when I left Denver, so had to get the plane de-iced before takeoff, but no real problems. My friend and I enjoyed the citrus fruit I hauled out-thanks to all who brought them to share!! Even saved some to bring home to Oklahoma. Sent a flat rate box home from Denver, cause there were two wool coats I had bought Last year and left there, but ended up suitcases weighed 40 and 45, but there was more bulk, so it worked out!!
I wanted to again thank all the hostesses and my secret sister for the great retreat!! It was awesome!! The hostesses always work so hard and I appreciate their efforts! And Yetta survived being my roommate, I didn't even terrorize her with the trolls!! Was really good to visit with everyone!!
How long until next retreat-LOL!!
Kim: Wanted to thank you again for letting me use your featherweight, but it was so weird that the plug wouldn't come out of the socket of the lamp base. I'm sorry!! But you said you don't use it much, so if you can do without it till next retreat, bring it back for me and I will research how to fix the plug and bring the stuff to fix it. I don't think it will be hard, but didn't get it done the night before leaving! But promise- I will get it fixed for you!! So don't give up on me!! I love your little machine-- and you for lending it to me!!
