I participated in a Farmer’s Wife block swap a few years back and have around 100 wonderful blocks but keep stalling on how I want to do the setting triangles. I feel I should decide on that before I do the sashing and cornerstones. Some day I’ll figure it out!

I have finally been doing some quilting lately.

Yeah! Glad you are working on stuff again. I was in a real slump some weeks back but once I got my momentum up I have been working on stuff just about every day. I did join the mystery and finished cutting the 3" squares today. I hope to get them sewn tonight. Since I dug out the scrap bins I might just do a bit of cutting stuff outta them to make them more user friendly, I am gonna make myself hold off till the mystery is done because I will likely need more stuff outta them before we are done, I WILL need stuff outta them before we are done :)

Ami, the scraps are the reason I went ahead and jumped in!  If I don’t like the quilt top, it can always be a charity one from the bits.

I'm hoping I can do most of it from the scraps around here!

My scraps are pretty sparse so I did cut some from larger pieces of fabric but I got them all cut and also sewn. I guess now I am all caught up till the next step. scrap quilts usually look good so I am not too worried I will not like it and like you said I sure can give it away to someone that needs a quilt if I don't.

I keep getting into a non-quilting rut and I need a little boost to get going again

That keeps happening to me.

Yep!  I'm doing Joy's Scrap Busting Picnic quilt.  I've often thought I wish I was closer to her so I could take a class from her sometime so this is great.  I appreciate her instructions and videos.

Your batiks are so lovely!  I almost got into mine for this project but them remembered I had misc floral FQs and scraps.  The FQs were sent to me from people on the forum back in 2008 as encouragement.  Each one opened made me smile.  I think Lucille organized folks to send them to cheer me up.  I wanted to use them in a project but never knew ust what.  So I used may of those and other florals left from making masks etc.

I just sewed up all the 4 patches today and have the 30 string blocks to do.

I was really looking forward to doing that swap to and I think I did a few blocks.  But I had to give up when I was so debilitated and felt so lousy as I went through all the testing to determine what was wrong.  You all were so kind to make an extra block each for me.  Colene sent me about 3 or 4 extra packages of blocks that would accumulate.  I love going through those packaging and admiring each block and person who sent it.

I finally found a setting fabric that I think will work well but still need to get them all out to audition with it.  I, too, take those lovelies out of my cupboard just to look through them.
