hum, interesting. Seems like I heard someone mention that previously but had forgotten. Thanks for the reminder, will have to try that. I have a couple of those weights on Ranger's cat tree (so it doesn't wobble so much when he jumps on it)

Please put a paint can on Ranger's cat tree if you steal his weights!
I would hate to think of Ranger being surprised because his tree is suddenly wobbly.

there is also a 30lb weight on each of them - I don't pick those up . The tree on the tile especially will go sliding as he hits it at run frequently, mostly when I'm coming with the food dish. He gets fed on the tree so that the doggies can't help themselves.

I have a mental picture of your cat sliding into "home base" at dinner time ....
Clever kitty has learned to survive in house with huge doggies with help of kind-hearted woman.

That IS a great way to hold down the far end of the ruler! Thanks for sharing.

For all of you who have un-assigned jelly rolls, go to pinterest and find the Jelly Snowflake quilt. It's so cute and easy and only takes 14 strips. Many aren't even done with wintery strips. I'm about to finish one, just have to decide if I want some kind of border on it.

Made it in July, when it came out as a mystery with Christmas scraps. Than I free motioned the "Visit from St Nicholas" poem over it and gave it away as a Christmas gift.

I went to Pintrest and searched for jelly roll snowflake quilt and got all sorts of different ones. Could you post a photo or link to the one you did?
Did you get much ice a few days ago? Our trees are still covered in thick ice and it looks like a crystal forest. But, sadly, tons of branches have fallen. Some are really big so when it clears up we are going to have some major clean up to do!

Lynne: That is the kind of ice storm we had in October. Major Major tree damage. Our ice storm came while the trees still had their leaves, which really made the trees bend and break. Tree limbs are still being cleaned up from that.
