I have arrived In Ks.
it appears moms time is very short. Big change from 3 days ago. Not eating, drinking, or talking. I’m sitting and doing what I call vigil sitting! Read devotions to her. Chatted to her. Played Christmas music and sang a few hymns….mostly holding her hands gently.
this week will hold much of this….I’m thinking this is maybe easier for me then my siblings who have gone thru the 3 weeks of hospital days….i did the same with Ricks parents- mostly his mom.
i will say staff we’re kind! Even though they are short handed because Covid has hit the home again! Praying their measures keep that germ contained!

Perhaps your mom has just been waiting for you to come and say good bye with your loving touch and she will now be ready to leave. That's how it sometimes works with mothers and daughters.
(I'm remembering my own mother who did not know my name, just knew me as "that nice lady" during my last visit with her.)

I will keep you in my prayer.I know it is vary hard to see a love one go.But on other hand you are glad to see them be with Jesue. I went thru this in Aug when my dad pass Aug 13.

Hugs going out to you Ellen. I know you will never regret being there for your mom at the end. Glad you were able to get there and comfort her and say good bye.

You are doing what she needs most...You are there with her. Judy is right. Sometimes loved ones wait for you to be there one last time. All of you remain in my prayers.

Yes, we are ok. Thankfully not one death. It came very close (within a quarter mile of our daughters house.) Her birthing center is ok as well. They were without power until 7 pm last night. It could have been so much worse. She said she could hear the loud roaring noise from it.
