Here is an attachment I've been getting from members of my forum ,( see attached ) plus I have not been receiving mail for days, its really been messing up my forum, need help.
I went to your forum and clicked on the "Read the message ..." link in lbrooks50's message, and it went right to the linked message. The link is good, the message is there, and there are no restrictions on the message folder. I cannot see that anything is wrong. User error? Overactive spam filters on the member's browser?
For missing message notifications, it looks like everything is set right in your account. Your email host may be treating these computer generated messages as spam. Have you checked any spam or junk mail folders for them? Try adding the address email@example.com to your address book. If they are being treated as spam, you need to find a way to designate the address as a good one. We cannot do that for you.
I have been using the same email host since 98 which is comcast, computer generated messages have never been treated as spam before.
I sent out 13 tags, usually get replies pronto when received, only got 2 back saying they could not get the tag. User error could be possible but two saying the same thing????? strange. I Heard nothing from the other 11 so either they didn't answer or i didn't get a notified from Delphi, I know delphi has been ill lately so naturally blaming them. I am going to do some testing with tags, I'll see if all is well.....if not, I'll be backkkkk. lol.
I think I have t hat very address, will add if it's not.
Went back,, clicked on the message from Linda Brooks, you're right, went directly to the linked message, notified by Delphi too.
I'm going to send their message back to them an ask them to do what you did, thanks Walt.
The problem messages are in a folder
Bette O's Wednesday Specials
which is set to No Members having access in Controls, Forum Management, Manage Folders. Only people with staff privileges can see those messages.
Don't quite understand Gunter, what do I do? I'm not good at tech stuff, need your help.
It looks like you figured this out? Please let us know if you still need help.
